[Plot]
The Israelites, who escaped Egypt with Joseph's bones on their backs, finally arrived in Canaan, the Promised Land, on the 10th day of the 1st month in the 41st year of Exodus?400 years after Joseph's death. This was the moment of fulfilling the "Covenant of the Torch" promised to Abraham in Genesis 15:18. The conquest of Canaan entailed approximately 16 years of war followed by distribution of the land under the leadership of Joshua and Caleb.
Our God, who chose and led the smallest ethnic group in the world to the land of Canaan, will surely allow the saints of today to possess the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, let us examine the victory in the Canaan conquest as manifested in the Bible and the History of Redemption series. We will see that the victorious conquest of Canaan reflects the happy ending of our mission "against forces and authorities and against rulers of darkness and powers in the spiritual world" which will last until the day we possess the kingdom of heaven.

[Cast]
1. Producer
God ? During the conquest of Canaan, He directly conducted and oversaw everything as the Commander in Chief. Although Moses' death could have caused a power vacuum and confusion among the Israelites, God had already prepared Joshua as the next leader so that there would be no setbacks towards fulfilling the covenant.

2. Leading Roles
① Joshua ? He was anointed by Moses 40 years after the Exodus (1407 BC) and was called to become the leader of the people at the age of 93. Despite of his old age, he was a great leader who completely fulfilled the mission of conquering Canaan. He accompanied Moses in fasting and praying on Mount Sinai for 40 weeks. He stayed with Moses when Moses was conversing with God within the tent of meeting, and even after Moses returned to the camp, Joshua did not leave the tent.

② Caleb ? He is introduced as the "Son of Jephunneh" from the Kenaz clan in Numbers 32:12. "Kenaz," the fifth son of Esau's son Eliphaz, was of Edomite descent. However, he entered into the tribe of Judah after receiving the "faith of God" (Numbers 13:6). At the age of 85, he set forth the covenant of God and fulfilled it through his steady faith and way of life, gaining the promised hill country, Hebron, as his inheritance.

③ The 12 Tribes of Israel ? The 12 Tribes of Israel conquered the major regions in Canaan in about 6 years. Afterwards, God distributed the remaining land to the 12 tribes, so that they could claim and settle in unconquered territories for themselves.

[Famous Lines]
"Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the LORD spoke in that day! I shall be able to drive them out as the LORD said!" (Joshua 14:12)
Quoted from Caleb when he cried out in faith whilst occupying the promised hill country of Hebron at the age of 85...

"Do not fear the people of the land, for they are our bread" (Numbers 14:8-10).
Quoted from the faithful voice of Joshua who only looked to God, the faithful fulfiller of the covenant, without paying attention to the external circumstances such as the nephilim giants who were descendants of the Anakites ...

[Famous Scenes]
The scene in which God appeared to Joshua as the Commander of the Lord's Army before the Canaan conquest, and told him, “Take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is holy” (Joshua 5:15).

This is a scene in which God promises that He Himself would lead the conquest of Canaan as an invisible Commander. Before every battle, God appeared to promise victory to Joshua who rose to action without hesitation and the Israelites gained victory every time. The key to their victory throughout the Canaan conquest was the fact that the strategies did not come from Joshua or the Israelites; they were victorious because God, who had promised the land of Canaan to the descendants of Abraham 680 years ago, fought the battles for them.

[Q&A]
Question: After the Israelites conquered the major regions in approximately 6 years, why didn’t God unite their strength to conquer the remaining territories in Canaan at once, but instead, left those land unconquered and commanded them to divide the land?
Answer: The Israelites, being exhausted from conquering the major regions, were full of fear towards occupying the rest of the land. Also, the relatively stronger tribes (5 tribes) had taken the central regions of the land, so the other 7 tribes without any land were becoming increasingly wary. For these two reasons, the distribution of land was delayed and it was at this point when God told Joshua to hurry and set up a tabernacle at Shiloh. This was in order to reconfirm God's covenant regarding the Canaan land, establishing faith within the minds of the people. Reprimanding the 7 tribes that were hesitating, He made them select 3 people from each tribe to survey the land and draw it in a book. Afterwards, Joshua drew lots for the people before the Lord and distributed the land according to their lot. This was a fulfillment of the Covenant of the Torch promised to Abraham as well as the manifestation that each tribe of Israel would completely conquer the land as long as they trusted in God's sovereign power and kept their faith in the realization of His covenant.

“The Conquest of Canaan” was truly amazing. Those big battles to conquer the major regions in Canaan were mind-blowing.
From the capture of Jericho and Ai, the defeat of the Amorite forces in the south, the destruction of the people in Makkedah, Libnah, Lachish, Ekron, Hebron and Debil, and the final scene of the victory in the Merom battle against the allied forces of the north . . . all accomplished by the zeal of God, our commander! Wow! I was so moved~~^^ daebak
