December 1984 Issue

Seeds of the nation scattered below heaven and above the earth!
We have met one another on this new hill so let us greet the New Year with a valiant spirit and a happy heart. I believe that all the seeds of the living spirit of the nation, those that are awake, are all well. I believe that those who make sounds and listen to sounds, those who keep God’s commandments and Jesus’ testimony are believers among believers. I believe that they are sounds.
When one asks if you are well, they are asking if you are fully awake. If you are awake, then you will experience peace even in the midst of a whirlpool of fire and water. However, if you are not awake, then you are dead even if you are lying down in the midst of mellifluous and splendid music.
Of course, our goal is for all the believers, without exception, to be awake as one and to shout. When all shout out the sound of life, then great works will occur, just as the walls of Jericho came crumbling down (Josh 6:1-21, Ps 19:1-4).
“Children of darkness who oppose the Will of God, the power of darkness which tramples upon the holy city and scatters, Satan, get away!”
Who will labor with the sounds of faith saying, “The path of life for this nation and its people is to return to the living God?”
Aren’t we believers? There are so many people shouting, but how come the devil, Satan, our enemy, is not cast away? Perhaps, it is because those sounds are not the sounds of the living spirit. Try to make sounds of the living spirit. Just as the evil spirit inside the man in the country of the Gerasenes was cast out and went into a herd of swine that rushed down the steep bank of the sea at Jesus’ Word… (Mark 5:1-21).
If you say, “be calm,” at the ferocious waves of public sentiment that has lost its way, it will be still, just like a baby that has fallen asleep, and the ship will suddenly reach its destination. However, faith is necessary for this to happen (Luke 8:22-25). Time is also necessary. For this reason, the seeds of the living spirit who have awakened first must not sit still. Life is something that cannot be still.
To be awake means that you can hear the sounds of history. People need to hear their own sounds as well as the sounds of heaven, but they also must hear the sounds of history.
If I am one end of a flute and heaven is the other end, then history is what lies between the two ends. Without the middle piece, heaven has nothing to breathe its breath into, and I have nothing to breathe in from. For this reason, we must try to listen to our sounds in order to be able to listen to heaven’s sounds, but if we also do not try to listen to the sounds of history, we cannot hear our sounds or heaven’s sounds. However, it is not enough to just hear the sounds of history. We must listen to it with faith so that the sounds of the living works can be displayed in our hearts like a picture. We must look at the picture in our hearts with the eyes of faith.
History creates commotion. Thus, it is easy to listen to the sounds without knowing the identity of the sounds. You have to understand the meaning in order to say that you really hear. In other words, you have to be able to connect with the meaning.
The word “connect” means “to penetrate” and that means you can see through from one end to the other. Then, the two become one. If the two become one, then the three become one, and it becomes the trinity. This is the work between heaven and me. It is the Will to make into one. Because it is the Will, it is the meaning. The Will is the Word.
“Do this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep; for now salvation is nearer to us than when we believed. The night is almost gone, and the day is near. Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light” (Romans 13:11-12).
Believers! History’s path is a winding one. It is the will, or purpose, that penetrates through and allows us to understand the Word. This is why we say that to become fully awake means you can hear the sounds of history. If you have the strong will to find the deep meaning, then you will inevitably become awakened.
Listen to the sounds that history is making. The believers full of faith who are trying to listen to the sounds of history must be at peace. True peace comes only from Jesus Christ (John 14:27). We must receive this true peace.
You have to open your ears even in the midst of the winding path. Listen with a truly peaceful heart. Behind us quietly stands an infinite number of seeds of the living spirit. The prophet Elijah did not bend his knees before the powers of darkness or before idols. Although he thought he was alone, we must realize that the living God who knew His people beforehand does not forsake His people. We must remember that God has kept for Himself 7,000 men who have not bowed their knees before Baal (Rom 11:1-6).
If there are no sounds, then it is because people have held their breath in order to listen to the sounds. If you hold your breath, then you will explode. There will come a day when there will be quakes from heaven and earth.
Just as the front and back waves lift each other up, just as the precious stones reflect each other’s light, human beings can only become human beings through experiences, good and bad, with one another. There is an old saying that you gain knowledge by the study of things.
Human beings are beings among beings. If knowledge comes from the study of things, then character comes from the study of people. This is the attainment of knowledge through the study of things and the attainment of character through experiences with other people.
There is one life, one character, and one faith. If one part of the body does not function, then you are not worthy to be called a person. Then, you are considered disabled.
If one part does not function, not only does that one part suffer, but the whole body suffers. For this reason, when one part of the body hurts, then the whole body feels pain and you have to take care of the whole.
Nations are the same. One person’s misfortune is the misfortune of the whole. The more foolish and heartless someone is, we must love and help all the more. We are told to love our enemies, because we must not have enemies. When we ask if someone is well, we are asking whether they are mentally fully awake. If you want to be mentally fully awake, then you must hold hands with the person next to you and continue your conversation without stopping. A soul that loves does not become drowsy.

Believers, who are the elites of our history, the year 1984 has been full of regrets and is passing by. Because we want to send off the year well, we ask the question, “have we lived according to God’s promise?” Enter into the sanctuary of history and say, “1984, goodbye.” The face is covered in blood and the clothes covered in mud, but underneath lies the flesh of a maturing bride. The scars and filth are the results of obtaining pearls from the deep sounds of history.
Now is the time to breathe out and to breathe in energy. The Word of life is deeply rooted in heaven and earth. “Let the dead bury the dead. I have overcome the world!” This is the first Word proclaimed on this new hill. This is the greeting. This is the thanksgiving. This is the prayer and praise. The seeds of the living spirit have strength, because they believe in their character as the image of God.
There is only powerlessness for those who have lost God’s nature of love and are hostile towards people. Just like people who arm themselves militarily, because they feel powerless, for those who arm themselves with a fence of words, their lies have become the truth for them, making them impossible to save.
Those who say they study religion or the church, their dens are dens of whispers. They are doers of unrighteousness, unlawful things, and abominable things. They are greedy and full of evil. They are slanderers and haters of God. They are people who flatter with their lips. They are proud and do not hesitate to scheme and defame others. They sit in God’s seat and judge others; they condemn others and feel they are righteous. They boast, but are ignorant. They are promise breakers. They are heartless and merciless. They live in a den where children of darkness who do not possess the love of Christ gather. Come out of that dark cave and listen to the sound of history.
Let us pray so that we may conquer that long road in one attempt. By praying, “Step by step, help us stride toward victory,” let us promise to penetrate through this year. The year 1984 is passing. This is a time when individuals and communities alike must look back and reflect as they make new plans.
Only love is the life that saves you and me. I ask for your support. The more you feel that there is not enough spring water or that it is not clear enough, I hope that you send your hearts that are like a drop of rain.
